Description:
Baylor University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position within the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective Fall 2027. We are searching for a collaborative faculty member with research experience in clinical, behavioral, cellular, or molecular neuroscience. Individuals with experience using rodents, alternative animal models, or humans are encouraged to apply. A doctoral degree (Ph.D. and/or M.D.) in neuroscience or a related discipline is required by the time the appointment begins. Successful candidates will have a sustained record of research excellence, demonstrate the potential to generate extramural funding commensurate with their career stage, and be able to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students sucessfully. For the 2026-27 Hiring Cycle, candidates who are outside of the United States and do not have other nonimmigrant visa status will not be sponsored for an H-1B petition.

Qualifications:
A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in neuroscience or a related discipline is required by the time the appointment begins, with two or more years of post-doctoral study preferred. Successful candidates should have a sustained record of research, and evidence of the potential to generate extramural funding commensurate with their career stage. Applicants should evidence the potential to teach undergraduate and graduate students effectively, as well as to provide research mentorship.
