Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Adjunct or In-Residence Series

The Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor for a full time faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full in the Adjunct or In-Residence series depending on qualifications and interests.

We are seeking individuals who are predominantly engaged in research or other creative work and who participate in teaching. This position will require the individual to coordinately work with the Department of Neurological Surgery to further an established research program focused on the development of speech prothesis technology. Appointees with titles in these series also engage in University and public service consistent with their assignments.


This position requires a PhD in Bioengineering, Neural Engineering or related field, completion of a postdoctoral fellowship by the time of hire, and published expertise in the area of real-time neural signal processing. Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:

Familiarity with the NIH grant process is also desirable.
