Assistant, Associate, or Full Adjunct Professor – Department of Neurological Surgery

The Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Full Adjunct Professor for a full-time faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointment at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full in the Adjunct Professor series depending on qualifications and interests.

Faculty in the Adjunct Professor series are individuals who are predominantly engaged in research or other creative work and who participate in teaching, or individuals who contribute primarily to teaching and have a limited responsibility for research other creative work; these individuals may be professional practitioners of appropriate distinction. This position will require the individual to work coordinately with the Department of Neurological Surgery to further an established research program focused on the development of speech prothesis technology. Appointees with titles in this series also engage in University and public service consistent with their assignments.

Required Qualifications:

This position requires a PhD in Bioengineering, Neural Engineering or related field and completion of a postdoctoral fellowship, by the time of hire.
Published expertise in the areas of real-time neural signal processing.

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:

Familiarity with the NIH granting process is also desirable.
